A small, careful breathwork app. If something isn't working, write to us.
Email is the fastest way to reach a real person. We read every message and usually reply within a few business days.
If you do not hear back within a week, the message did not arrive. Send it again.
StillBox involves holding your breath. That is safe for most people in a chair and unsafe in a few specific situations, including in water and behind the wheel. Read the Safety page before your first session. StillBox is a wellness tool, not a medical device, and it does not give medical advice.
StillBox shows one screen: a breathing box. Tap anywhere to start a session. Tap again to stop. The app guides you through inhale, hold, exhale, and hold phases with a soft visual scale and a per-second haptic tap on supported devices.
Long-press the screen to open the Patterns & settings sheet, where you can change the breathing pattern, the number of rounds, and whether haptics are enabled.
Tap the "About" link at the bottom right of the home screen for the app version and credits.
Yes. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, and no ads.
No. There is no account, no sign-in, and no email required.
Yes. StillBox does not require an internet connection. All breathing patterns, settings, and the rotating quote above the box are stored on your device.
No. StillBox does not collect, transmit, or share any data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Delete the app from your iPhone. This removes all settings and custom patterns from your device. There is no remote data to delete, because nothing is ever stored remotely.
Yes. Long-press the home screen to open Patterns & settings, then tap "Create new pattern." You can set inhale, hold-in, exhale, and hold-out durations from 1 to 12 seconds each.
Check three settings in this order:
Haptics also feel different across iPhone models. Older devices have a less precise Taptic Engine.
Not currently. If your screen dims mid-session, raise Settings → Display & Brightness → Auto-Lock. We are looking at handling this in the app.
StillBox does not send notifications. Messages from other apps can still appear over it. Turn on a Focus mode, or swipe down from the top-right and tap the crescent moon, before you start.
Reduce Motion is honored — the box stays static when it is enabled, instead of scaling between phases. VoiceOver support is partial: the breathing box has accessibility labels for the current phase, but the patterns and settings screens have not been fully tested with VoiceOver. If something does not read correctly, please write and tell us.
iOS 17.0 or later.
Long-press the home screen to open Patterns & settings, then tap "Box" at the top of the pattern list. Box (inhale 4, hold 4, exhale 4, hold 4) is the default.
Email support@cerminaraconsulting.com with what happened and what you expected to happen. Include your iPhone model, your iOS version (Settings → General → About), and the StillBox version number from the About screen.
